My friend Derek over at Distract Chicago asked me last month to contribute a couple of illustrations for the last episode of his webseries Liars, and that episode recently aired! The assignment was to depict the show’s two main characters in the the style of a grotesque Ren and Stimpy close-up. I had a lot of fun with it, because hyper detailed gross out stuff isn’t really my cup of tea most days. It’s satisfying to imitate someone else’s style as faithfully as you can manage, especially when the subject matter is so.. visceral.
